Family Fun Mother’s Day Activities | West Palm Photographer

As a West Palm photographer and a mama of two, of course I love Mother’s Day. On one day each year, we get to celebrate and be celebrated with the ones we love most. It’s a beautiful time where we get to spend a whole day dedicated to our families. There are a lot of fun, family-friendly activities to do for littles of all ages that will make the day magical.

1. Mother’s Day Brunch

This is a classic way to spend the day. You can go to your favorite restaurant with everyone in your family, and spend the day laughing and enjoying each other’s company. West Palm Beach has some incredible restaurants with delicious brunch menus. Here are a few spots I recommend: 

• Taylor Farmhouse Cafe
• Havana Restaurant
• Sundy House   

2. At-Home Spa Day 

After a cozy breakfast and lazy morning, get your little ones together for a fun spa day! To prepare, I’d recommend getting some cucumbers, sparkling water, sheet masks and nail polish. To amp up the experience, get some little plush robes for your kiddos. Spend the day painting each other’s nails, listening to music and being silly with cucumbers on your eyes over your sheet masks. It could quickly become a beautiful Mother’s Day tradition to look forward to every year. 

3. Beachfront Picnic

We are so lucky to have the coast right at our fingertips, so you can never go wrong with a picnic along the ocean. Some of the best places to visit in the area: John D. MacArthur Beach State Walk, DelRay Beach, Carlin Park, Lake Worth Beach, and Gulfstream Park. 

4. Portrait Session

Whether an impromptu photoshoot or a session with a luxury photographer, photos have to be a must on Mother’s Day. Take a moment during any part of the day with your family, and document it. Of course, a dedicated formal session with an experienced photographer is a beautiful way to commemorate your family and celebrate your motherhood.
