After you’ve spent so much time planning your maternity photography session, you may wonder what exactly you want to do with the photos! After you get your gallery, you might feel overwhelmed with the sheer amount of images to sift through. It can definitely seem like a lot, especially when you don’t know what to do next. As a full-service photographer, I wanted to let you know what you can expect from my services in this regard, and some advice in general. The main goal should be having these images cherished for generations to come.
I love when anyone chooses to put their maternity photos on display, no matter where they choose to. I recommend putting any chosen, framed images up in the primary bedroom or even your little one’s nursery. Having them in your bedroom is a wonderful option because you can make sure the photos we choose will work the decor you already have and plan to keep. With a nursery that becomes your child’s bedroom, it’s more difficult to keep decor and photos up for longer than a year or so.
I talk all the time about how curating a gallery wall is an amazing gift to give yourselves. It’s also a part of my services that I absolutely love; it’s so fun to see all our hard work come together! Your family is the art, and should be shown in your home with a beautiful gallery wall. Maternity images are so special and symbolic, and make a beautiful addition to any photo collection.
Starting a photo album for your child before they’re even in the world is an incredible gift to give to them. As they grow, you can continue adding beautiful memories that you may have otherwise forgotten. Later in their lives, they can look back at where their lives started with you! Imagine such a heartwarming moment.
As part of my services, at the end of our time together you have the option to create a custom gallery wall or heirloom album. If you decide to go with the latter, it’s an album that you can use to commemorate our time working together specifically. Another bonus is, if we’re working together with my First Year Collective, your album can be of your child’s entire first year.
No matter what you decide to do with your maternity photos, beginning your little one’s life with memories for them to look back on is the best thing you can do. Having tangible, cherished memories is priceless.
